धर्म पूर्वे धनं मध्ये जघन्ये काममाचरेत्‌ । अहन्यनुचरेदेवमेष शास्त्रकृतो विधि:

Transliteration

dharmaṁ pūrve dhanaṁ madhye jaghanye kāmam ācaret | ahany anucared evam eṣa śāstrakṛto vidhiḥ ||

Translation

বৈশম্পায়ন ক’লে—প্ৰথমে ধৰ্ম আচৰণ কৰিব লাগে, মধ্যভাগত অৰ্থ সাধন কৰিব লাগে, আৰু অন্তিমত কাম-সেৱন কৰিব লাগে। প্ৰতিদিন এইদৰে চলিব—এইয়েই শাস্ত্ৰকৃত বিধি।
