ब्रह्मबन्धुषु यद् दत्तं यद् दत्तं वृषलीपतौ । स्त्रीजनेषु च यद् दत्तं व्यालग्राहे तथैव च
brahmabandhuṣu yad dattaṃ yad dattaṃ vṛṣalīpatau | strījaneṣu ca yad dattaṃ vyālagrāhe tathaiva ca
মাৰ্কণ্ডেয় ক’লে—যি দান কেৱল নামমাত্ৰ ব্ৰাহ্মণ (ব্ৰহ্মবন্ধু) ক দিয়া হয়, যি দান নীচজাতিৰ স্ত্ৰীৰ স্বামীক দিয়া হয়, যি দান বিবেচনা নকৰাকৈ স্ত্ৰীসমূহক দিয়া হয়, আৰু যি দান কোনো হিংস্ৰ জন্তুৰ কবলত পৰি দিয়া হয়—এবোৰ দান পাত্ৰতা, উদ্দেশ্য আৰু উপযুক্ত পৰিস্থিতি নুবুজি দিয়া হোৱা বাবে দোষযুক্ত বুলি গণ্য হয়।
