Vainya’s Sacrifice and the Settlement of a Dharmic Dispute
दृश्यन्ते शान्तरजस: क्षपा जलदशीतला: । ग्रहनक्षत्रसड्घैश्व॒ सोमेन च विराजिता:,उस समयकी रातें धूलरहित एवं निर्मल दिखायी देती थीं। बादलोंके समान उनमें शीतलता थी। ग्रहों और नक्षत्रोंके समुदाय तथा चन्द्रमा उनकी शोभा बढ़ाते थे
dṛśyante śānta-rajasaḥ kṣapā jalada-śītalāḥ | graha-nakṣatra-saṅghaiś ca somena ca virājitāḥ ||
বৈশম্পায়নে ক’লে—সেই সময়ৰ ৰাতিবোৰ ধূলিমুক্ত আৰু নিৰ্মল দেখা দিছিল; বৰষুণীয়া মেঘৰ দৰে শীতল আছিল। গ্ৰহ-নক্ষত্ৰৰ সমূহ আৰু চন্দ্ৰই সিহঁতক অলংকৃত কৰি শোভা বঢ়াই দিছিল।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights a tranquil, purified natural setting—dustless, cool nights under orderly celestial lights—suggesting that harmony in the outer world can mirror or encourage inner composure and auspiciousness during arduous journeys.
Vaiśampāyana describes the environment: the nights during the forest narrative are clear and cool, illuminated and beautified by the Moon along with planets and constellations, establishing a serene atmosphere around the events.
