नारद उवाच
The verse underscores dharmic stability: devotion to a deity (Varuṇa) is sustained through disciplined practice, supported by family continuity (sons and grandsons) and anchored in tīrthas, suggesting that ethical life is reinforced by both lineage-responsibility and sacred institutions.
Nārada is describing a figure named Sunābha, identified as Varuṇa’s minister, who is portrayed as living in a devotional mode—surrounded by descendants and engaged in worship connected with the tīrthas called Gau and Puṣkara.
