Saumadatti-vadha and Bhīma–Alambusa-saṃyoga (सौमदत्तिवधः तथा भीमालम्बुससंयोगः)
निर्दिष्ट यद् वृषाड्केण पुण्यं सर्वार्थसाधकम् | तौ जग्मतुरसम्भ्रान्ती नरनारायणावृषी
nirdiṣṭa yad vṛṣāṅkeṇa puṇyaṁ sarvārthasādhakam | tau jagmatur asambhrāntī nara-nārāyaṇāv ṛṣī ||
বৃষাঙ্ক (শিৱ)য়ে যি সৰ্বাৰ্থসাধক পুণ্যময় পথ নিৰ্দেশ কৰিছিল, সেয়া জানি নৰ-নাৰায়ণ—সেই দুয়ো ঋষি—অচঞ্চলচিত্তে, নিৰ্ভয়ে আগবাঢ়িল।
संजय उवाच
True spiritual merit is not merely ritual but a dharmic path ‘shown’ by the divine that leads to comprehensive well-being; the ideal response is steadiness—acting without agitation or confusion.
Sañjaya reports that, after Śiva (Vṛṣāṅka) indicates a supremely efficacious meritorious course, the twin sages Nara and Nārāyaṇa depart calmly and resolutely, suggesting disciplined adherence to the revealed guidance.
