Saumadatti-vadha and Bhīma–Alambusa-saṃyoga (सौमदत्तिवधः तथा भीमालम्बुससंयोगः)
ततः कृष्णश् पार्थश्च संस्पृश्याम्भ: कृताञ्जली । तौ नागावुपतस्थाते नमस्यन्तौ वृषध्वजम्,तब श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुन जलसे आचमन करके हाथ जोड़ भगवान् शंकरको प्रणाम करते हुए उन दोनों नागोंके निकट खड़े हो गये
tataḥ kṛṣṇaḥ pārthaś ca saṁspṛśyāmbhaḥ kṛtāñjalī | tau nāgāv upatasthāte namasyantau vṛṣadhvajam ||
তেতিয়া কৃষ্ণ আৰু পাৰ্থ (অৰ্জুন)য়ে জল স্পৰ্শ কৰি আচমন কৰিলে; আৰু কৰযোৰে বৃষধ্বজ (শিৱ)ক প্ৰণাম জনাই সেই দুয়ো নাগৰ ওচৰত থিয় হ’ল।
संजय उवाच
Even in the urgency of battle, righteous action is grounded in inner discipline: purification, respectful posture, and devotion to the divine. The verse models humility and seeking higher guidance before decisive acts.
Sañjaya narrates that Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna perform a brief purificatory act by touching water, join their hands in reverence, and stand near two nāga beings while offering homage to Śiva (Vṛṣadhvaja).
