अभिमन्युवधः

Abhimanyu’s Fall and the Battlefield Aftermath

स्थातव्यमिति तिष्ठामि पीड्यमानो5भिमन्युना । तदनन्तर कर्णने अभिमन्युके बाणोंसे आहत होकर पुनः द्रोणाचार्यसे कहा--“आचार्य! मैं अभिमन्युके बाणोंसे पीड़ित होता हुआ भी केवल इसलिये यहाँ खड़ा हूँ कि युद्धके मैदानमें डटे रहना ही क्षत्रियका धर्म है (अन्यथा मैं कभी भाग गया होता)

sthātavyam iti tiṣṭhāmi pīḍyamāno 'bhimanyunā |

“থিয় হৈ থাকিব লাগিব”—এই ভাবি মই ইয়াত থিয় হৈ আছোঁ, যদিও অভিমন্যুৰ বাণে মোক তীব্ৰভাৱে পীড়িত কৰিছে। তাৰ পাছত কৰ্ণ অভিমন্যুৰ বাণে আঘাতপ্ৰাপ্ত হৈ দ্ৰোণাচাৰ্যক ক’লে—“আচার্য! অভিমন্যুৰ বাণে কষ্ট পাইও মই ইয়াত কেৱল এই কাৰণেই অটল আছোঁ যে ৰণক্ষেত্ৰত অচল হৈ থিয় হৈ থাকাই ক্ষত্ৰিয়ৰ ধৰ্ম; নহ’লে মই বহু আগতেই পলাই গ’লোহেঁতেন।”
