संजय उवाच
The verse underscores how war draws together many kings and vast forces, highlighting the weight of kshatriya obligations and political alliances; it implicitly invites reflection on the ethical burden created when royal duty and ambition mobilize entire peoples into conflict.
Sanjaya describes to the listener the immense mustering of troops: numerous contingents of kings have assembled, and the Pandavas’ forces within that broader battlefield setting are counted in hundreds and thousands, emphasizing the magnitude of the engagement.
