As a colophon, the verse does not teach through direct instruction but frames the ethical arc of the episode: steadfast courage and purposeful action (as in Sātyaki’s breakthrough) can overturn seemingly entrenched power, while arrogance and unjust opposition invite defeat amid the larger movement of dharma and adharma in the war.
This is the chapter-ending colophon. It identifies the textual location: in Droṇa Parva, within the Jayadratha-slaying section, concluding the chapter that includes Sātyaki’s entry into battle and the defeat of Duryodhana and Kṛtavarman.
