Adhyāya 92: Irāvanta-śoka, punaḥ-pravṛttiḥ saṅgrāmasya

Arjuna’s grief and the battle’s renewed intensity

Educational Q&A

Wholesome advice often feels unpleasant to those driven by attachment or denial; refusing wise counsel does not cancel its truth—its consequences still arrive.

Sañjaya rebukes the addressee for not listening to earlier salutary warnings; he uses the simile of a dying man rejecting beneficial medicine to explain why the ignored counsel has now returned as an unavoidable outcome.
