Āśvamedha-dīkṣā-nirdeśaḥ — Scheduling the Initiation and Assigning Protection for the Horse
आजगाम महातेजा नगरं नागसाह्दयम् | तस्य सर्वे यथान्यायं पूजांचक्रुः कुरूद्वहा:
ājagāma mahātejā nagaraṃ nāgasāhvayam | tasya sarve yathānyāyaṃ pūjāṃ cakruḥ kurūdvahāḥ |
বৈশম্পায়নে ক’লে: কিছুমান দিনৰ পাছত মহাতেজস্বী ঋষি নাগসাহ্বয় (হস্তিনাপুৰ) নগৰলৈ আহিল। তাত কুৰুবীৰসকলৰ মাজত শ্ৰেষ্ঠ সকলোৱে ন্যায়ানুসাৰে, ধৰ্মোচিত ৰীতিত তেওঁৰ পূজা কৰিলে।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic etiquette: rulers and householders should honor realized sages properly (yathā-nyāya), showing humility, gratitude, and adherence to established righteous custom.
After a short interval, the great sage (understood as Vyāsa) arrives in Hastināpura, and the leading Kuru princes (the Pāṇḍavas) formally receive and worshipfully honor him according to proper protocol.
