बुद्धिह्हि व्यवसायेन लक्ष्यते नात्र संशय: । चिन्तन मनका और निश्चय बुद्धिका लक्षण है; क्योंकि मनुष्य इस जगतमें मनके द्वारा चिन्तन की हुई वस्तुओंका बुद्धिसे ही निश्चय करते हैं, निश्चयके द्वारा ही बुद्धि जाननेमें आती है, इसमें संदेह नहीं है

বায়ুৱে ক’লে— বুদ্ধি দৃঢ় সিদ্ধান্ত-শক্তিৰ দ্বাৰাই চিনাক্ত হয়; ইয়াত সন্দেহ নাই। মন নানা চিন্তা আৰু সম্ভাৱনা তোলে, কিন্তু কি গ্ৰহণীয় সেয়া বুদ্ধিয়েই নিৰ্ণয় কৰি স্থিৰ কৰে। সেয়ে নিশ্চিততা আৰু অচল সিদ্ধান্তেই বুদ্ধিৰ লক্ষণ।
