राम उवाच
The verse underscores ethical conduct in the guru–student relationship: truthful reporting, openness, and respectful communication lead to the teacher’s approval and strengthen dharmic discipline.
A student (or subordinate) narrates all details to his guru/upādhyāya; the teacher, hearing the complete and faithful account, becomes very pleased.
