Aurva Episode: Restoration of Sight and Restraint of World-Destructive Anger
त्वत्तो5प्यहं ग्रहीष्यामि अस्त्रमाग्नेयमुत्तमम् । तथैव योग्यं बीभत्सो चिराय भरतर्षभ,साथ ही आपसे भी मैं उत्तम आग्नेयास्त्र ग्रहण करूँगा। भरतकुलभूषण अर्जुन! ऐसा करनेसे ही हम दोनोंमें दीर्घधकालतक समुचित सौहार्द बना रहेगा
tvattopy ahaṁ grahīṣyāmi astram āgneyam uttamam | tathaiva yogyaṁ bībhatsa cirāya bharatarṣabha ||
গন্ধৰ্ব ক’লে—তোমাৰ পৰাও মই শ্ৰেষ্ঠ আগ্নেয়াস্ত্ৰ গ্ৰহণ কৰিম। হে বীভৎস, ভৰতশ্ৰেষ্ঠ! এনেদৰে যথোচিত বিনিময় হ’লেই আমাৰ মাজত দীঘলীয়া কাললৈ উপযুক্ত সৌহাৰ্দ্য আৰু মৈত্ৰী অটুট থাকিব।
गन्धर्व उवाच
The verse highlights ethical reciprocity: a relationship—especially between powerful allies—endures when exchanges are appropriate and balanced, preventing obligation or imbalance from undermining goodwill.
A Gandharva addresses Arjuna, stating that he will also receive from Arjuna the excellent Āgneyāstra; this mutual, fitting exchange is presented as the basis for sustained friendship between them.
