वैशम्पायन उवाच ततः सत्यवती भीष्मं वाचा संसज्जमानया । विहसन्तीव सत्रीडमिदं वचनमब्रवीत्,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! तब सत्यवती कुछ हँसती और साथ ही लजाती हुई भीष्मजीसे इस प्रकार बोली। बोलते समय उसकी वाणी संकोचसे कुछ अस्पष्ट-सी हो जाती थी
vaiśampāyana uvāca tataḥ satyavatī bhīṣmaṃ vācā saṃsajjamānayā | vihasantīva sa-trīḍam idaṃ vacanam abravīt |
বৈশম্পায়নে ক’লে—জনমেজয়! তেতিয়া সত্যৱতী সংকোচত থমথমীয়া কণ্ঠে, যেন মৃদু হাঁহি আৰু নাৰীসুলভ লজ্জা মিশাই, ভীষ্মক এই কথা ক’লে।
