Garuda (Vinata-putra), addressing Lord Vishnu (Vasudeva)
Concept: The Lord’s actions are intrinsically beneficent and playful; remembrance and praise of His caritāmṛta never satiate the heart—bhakti deepens by kīrtana.
Vedantic Theme: Līlā as expression of fullness (pūrṇatva); bhakti-rasa as a mode of knowing the Absolute; dharma embodied in Bhagavan as ‘sukarma-mauli’.
Application: Adopt regular kīrtana/śravaṇa of the Lord’s deeds; use gratitude and remembrance to stabilize the mind and orient life toward welfare-giving action.
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shringara
Related Themes: Garuda Purana: Vishnu-nāma and caritra-śravaṇa praised as purifying (general internal link)
This verse presents Vishnu as the giver of welfare (kṣema) and beneficence; praising Him is portrayed as inexhaustible—devotion deepens rather than “finishes,” because His deeds are described as nectar-like.
Indirectly, it frames the spiritual path as centered on devotion and alignment with dharma: the Lord who embodies “supreme good action” becomes the focus of the mind, cultivating auspiciousness and inner steadiness that support one’s onward journey.
Regular remembrance and recitation of Vishnu’s deeds (stuti, nāma-smaraṇa) and choosing “sukarma” in daily life—helping others, truthfulness, restraint—are presented as the lived form of devotion that brings kṣema (well-being).
