Sukta 1
यद् गिरिषु पर्वतेषु गोष्वश्वेषु यन्मधु । सुरायां सिच्यमानायां यत् तत्र मधु तन्मयि
yád giríṣu párvateṣu góṣv áśveṣu yán mádhu | surā́yāṃ sicyámānāyāṃ yát tátra mádhu tán máyí ||
What honey-sweet essence is in hills and mountains, what is in cows, what in horses; what honey is there in surā when it is being poured—what sweetness is therein, let that be in me.
পাহাৰ-পর্বতত যি মধুময় সাৰ আছে, গাইত যি আছে, ঘোঁৰাত যি আছে; সুৰা ঢালোঁতে তাত যি মধু-মাধুৰ্য থাকে—সেই তাত থকা মধু-মাধুৰ্য মোৰ ভিতৰত হওক।
