Yogatattva Upanishad — Verse 79
शिष्याश्च स्वस्वकार्येषु प्रार्थयन्ति न संशयः । तत्तत्कर्मकरव्यग्रः स्वाभ्यासेऽविस्मृतो भवेत्॥ अविस्मृत्य गुरोर्वाक्यमभ्यसेत्तदहर्निशम् । एवं भवेद्धठावस्था सन्तताभ्यासयोगतः॥७८-७९॥
शिष्याः च स्व-स्व-कार्येषु प्रार्थयन्ति न संशयः । तत्-तत्-कर्म-कर-व्यग्रः स्व-अभ्यासे अविस्मृतः भवेत् ॥ अविस्मृत्य गुरोः वाक्यम् अभ्यसेत् तत् अहः-निशम् । एवम् भवेत् हठ-अवस्था सन्तत-अभ्यास-योगतः ॥
śiṣyāś ca sva-sva-kāryeṣu prārthayanti na saṃśayaḥ | tat-tat-karma-kara-vyagraḥ svābhyāse ’vismṛto bhavet || avismṛtya guror vākyam abhyaset tad aho-niśam | evaṃ bhaved haṭhāvasthā santatābhyāsa-yogataḥ ||78–79||
والتلاميذُ، في أعمالهم الخاصة، يطلبون الإرشاد—ولا ريب. فليكن المرءُ منشغلاً بأداء واجبه، غيرَ ناسٍ لممارسته الذاتية. ولا ينسَ كلمةَ الغورو، بل ليمارسها ليلَ نهار. هكذا تنشأ حالةُ الهَثا بيوغا المداومة على التمرين.
And the disciples, in their respective tasks, request (instruction)—there is no doubt. Engaged in performing those duties, one should not become forgetful of one’s own practice. Not forgetting the Guru’s word, one should practice it day and night. Thus the state of Haṭha arises through the yoga of continuous practice.
