Endless rites and purifications, and japa, and sacrifice likewise, and going on pilgrimages—[all this continues] so long as one does not find the Reality (tattva).

Karma-kāṇḍa limitation; tattva-jñāna as culmination; mokṣa through knowledgeMahavakya: Indirect: implies that the culmination of practice is realization of tattva (Brahman/Ātman) as taught by mahāvākyas; rituals are preparatory until identity-knowledge dawns.AtharvaAtharva-veda (Paippalāda tradition; commonly transmitted as a Sannyāsa Upaniṣad corpus text) ShakhaChandas: Anuṣṭubh (śloka)
