Śrī Rāma
Tirtha: Sītākuṇḍa
Type: kund
Listener: Sītā
Scene: On the steps of a lotus pond, devotees bathe, then give alms, chant on mālā, offer homa into a small fire altar, and sit in tapas—each act shown as turning into a shining, indestructible jewel of merit rising upward.
Rightly performed dharmic acts at a sanctified place yield enduring (akṣaya) spiritual results.
Sītākuṇḍa in the Ayodhyā Māhātmya context.
Snāna, dāna, japa, homa, and tapas—performed with vidhāna (proper rules).
