pūjāsaṃbhāramālokya tādṛśaṃ taṃ munīśvaraḥ | vismito'bhūnnirānando dakṣiṇā'śāṃ parityajan | uvāca madhuraṃ vākyaṃ vākyajñānaviśāradaḥ
Agastya (contextual continuation)
Tirtha: Ayodhyā
Type: kshetra
Scene: The sage surveys the sparse worship items—simple clay vessels and minimal offerings—his face briefly clouded with disappointment; then he composes himself and prepares to speak kindly.
Even when disappointed, the wise restrain harshness and speak sweetly; dharma includes self-control in speech.
Ayodhyā’s sanctity is implicit in the moral drama of charity, hospitality, and sage-like restraint occurring there.
Pūjā is referenced through its saṃbhāras (materials), and dakṣiṇā as a customary offering is central to the episode.
