Bhadra
Tirtha: Dāmodara-tīrtha
Type: ghat
Listener: Rājā (unnamed)
Scene: A royal listener at the river/kuṇḍa of Dāmodara on Dvādaśī: priests indicate auspicious timing; the bather emerges from water as dark smoke-like sins dissolve, while distant pilgrims and lamps suggest Kārttika sanctity.
A single, highly sanctified act—bathing at the right tīrtha and time—can purify deeply, surpassing many scattered pilgrimages.
Dāmodara-tīrtha, especially its sacred waters.
Snāna (ritual bathing) in Dāmodara waters, with Dvādaśī highlighted as the most auspicious day.
