vinā śrāddhena viprendrā dānena pitṛtarpaṇāt | bhaktitaḥ snānamātreṇa pitṛbhiḥ saha mucyate
Brahmā (continuation of tīrtha-phala proclamation context)
Tirtha: Ṛṣitīrtha
Type: kund
Listener: Viprendra / brāhmaṇas (addressed)
Scene: A pilgrim bathing in a sacred well while offering mental salutations to forefathers; subtle presence of pitṛs receiving upliftment, depicted as luminous ancestral figures rising toward light, with a calm Śiva shrine nearby.
In an exalted tīrtha, devotion amplifies merit—simple acts like bathing can uplift both the individual and the ancestral line.
Ṛṣitīrtha near Siddheśvara in Dvārakā is the implied location where such extraordinary fruit is promised.
Snāna performed with bhakti is presented as sufficient for pitṛ-benefit, even without śrāddha, dāna, or pitṛ-tarpaṇa.
