dvitīyādivase yastvāṃ mahālakṣmīriti bruvan | śrīsūktena subhaktyā'tha devi saṃpūjayiṣyati
«أيتها الإلهة، من اليوم الثاني (وما بعده) من يدعوكِ “مها لاكشمي” ويعبدكِ بإخلاصٍ عميق، ويكرّمكِ بتلاوة “شري سوكتا” (Śrīsūkta)، ينل الثمرات الموعودة.»
Brahmā
Tirtha: Mahālakṣmī-sthāna
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī (and implicitly devotees)
Scene: A devotee on the second day of observance sits before the Devī’s shrine, chanting Śrīsūkta from a palm-leaf manuscript while offering lotus flowers and lamps; the atmosphere is orderly and vow-like.
Right invocation (nāma) and right hymn (Śrīsūkta) joined with devotion constitute a complete act of worship that ripens into merit.
The instruction belongs to the Nāgarakhaṇḍa tīrtha framework; the site is implied by the chapter’s Māhātmya setting but not named here.
Perform full worship (saṃpūjā) while chanting/using the Śrīsūkta and uttering the name ‘Mahālakṣmī,’ specifically from the second day onward.
