पितामहमुखान्दृष्ट्वा देवान्प्राप्तान्सुराधिपः । पराङ्मुखानकस्माच्च संजातान्विस्मयान्वितः । ततः प्रोवाच संभ्रांतः किमिदं गम्यते सुराः । दृष्ट्वापि मामनाभाष्य कच्चित्क्षेमं गृहे मम
pitāmahamukhāndṛṣṭvā devānprāptānsurādhipaḥ | parāṅmukhānakasmācca saṃjātānvismayānvitaḥ | tataḥ provāca saṃbhrāṃtaḥ kimidaṃ gamyate surāḥ | dṛṣṭvāpi māmanābhāṣya kaccitkṣemaṃ gṛhe mama
فلما رأى الآلهة قد قدموا يتقدّمهم براهما، دهش سيّد الآلهة إذ انصرفوا بوجوههم فجأة. ثم قال مضطربًا: «ما هذا؟ لِمَ ترحلون يا معشر الآلهة؟ ترونني ولا تنطقون. أكلُّ شيءٍ بخيرٍ وأمانٍ في مقامي؟»
