Transliteration

tatastatra tapastepe gaurīṃ saṃsthāpya bhaktitaḥ | tadagre vratamāsthāya yathoktaṃ śāstra saṃbhavam

Translation

ثم هناك بعينه مارست التقشّف، مُقيمةً صورةَ الإلهة غَوْرِي بخشوعٍ ومحبة. وأمام تلك الإلهة التزمت نذراً (فْرَتَه) على وفق ما قرّرته الشاسترا دون زيادةٍ ولا نقصان.
