श्रीमार्कंडेय उवाच । आक्षिप्तस्ताडितो वापि यमुद्दिश्य त्यजेदसून् । स्त्रीजनो वा द्विजो वापि तस्य पापं तु तद्भवेत्
śrīmārkaṃḍeya uvāca | ākṣiptastāḍito vāpi yamuddiśya tyajedasūn | strījano vā dvijo vāpi tasya pāpaṃ tu tadbhavet
قال شري ماركاندييا: «حتى إن أُهين المرء أو ضُرِب، فإذا ترك إنسانٌ—امرأةً كان أو براهمنًا—الحياةَ وهو يستحضر المعتدي في قلبه، فإن إثمَ تلك الميتة يقع على من تسبب بها.»
