tasmādāgaccha bhūpāla tīrthayātrāṃ mayā saha | kuru tīrthaprabhāveṇa yena tvaṃ syāḥ śuciḥ punaḥ
فلذلك، أيها الملك، تعالَ معي في حجٍّ إلى التيـرثا المقدّسة. وبقوّة تلك المعابر الطاهرة اعمل على وجهٍ يجعلك تعود نقيًّا من جديد.
Viśvāmitra
Tirtha: Unspecified Nāgara-khaṇḍa tīrtha-circuit (to be named in adjacent verses)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Viśvāmitra invites the king to set out on a sacred journey; they stand at the threshold of departure with staff and water-pot, the road leading toward rivers, ghats, and temples—symbolizing purification through travel.
Pilgrimage is portrayed as a dharmic remedy: sacred geography carries transformative power for inner and outer purification.
This verse glorifies tīrthas in general (tīrtha-prabhāva); the immediate narrative setting remains connected to Kurukṣetra in the surrounding verses.
Undertake tīrtha-yātrā (pilgrimage) under the guidance of a sage to regain śaucā (purity).
