Type: kshetra
Listener: dvijottamāḥ (best of twice-born)
Scene: Śiva (Trinetra) speaks to ascetics and then becomes invisible at the very spot; the ascetics build a simple forest āśrama and worship multiple Śaiva forms (mūrtis), culminating in ascent to the highest abode.
Steady life of faith and worship at a sanctified kṣetra culminates in the supreme spiritual attainment.
The same locale of Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra (with the associated tīrtha setting) where the ascetics establish an āśrama.
Founding an āśrama and performing sustained worship (samārādhana) of the established forms.
