tasmādgaccha dharāpṛṣṭhaṃ svāṃ kīrtiṃ nūtanāṃ kuru | yadi vāṃchasi loke'sminmāmake vasatiṃ ciram
Brahmā
Type: kshetra
Listener: Indradyumna
Scene: Brahmā gives final counsel: descend to earth and create new kīrti; Indradyumna accepts with determination, envisioning construction and service among tīrthas.
Merit must be continually refreshed through dharmic action; spiritual reward is sustained by ongoing righteousness, not past credit alone.
No single tīrtha is named; the instruction points toward earth-based merit-making that often includes tīrtha-related works.
A general prescription: perform new meritorious deeds to renew kīrti; specific rites are not detailed in this verse.
