evaṃ dattvā vidhānena tato vipraṃ visarjayet | evaṃ kṛte tato rājaṃstasmai dattvātha dakṣiṇām
Narrator (contextual Purāṇic teacher addressing a King)
Type: kshetra
Listener: rājan (king)
Scene: The donor offers additional coins/cloth as dakṣiṇā; the brāhmaṇa rises to depart with blessings; attendants hold umbrellas or water-pot; the king watches the proper closure of the rite.
Dāna is completed by proper closure—honoring the recipient with dakṣiṇā and respectful dismissal.
The broader passage sits in the Nāgarakhaṇḍa Tīrthamāhātmya; this verse itself is procedural.
Give according to vidhi, then dismiss the brāhmaṇa, and additionally offer dakṣiṇā.
