दानवा ऊचुः । वयं देवैः पराभूता भवंतं शरणागताः । क्व यामोऽन्यत्र चाऽस्माकं त्वां विना नास्ति संश्रयः
dānavā ūcuḥ | vayaṃ devaiḥ parābhūtā bhavaṃtaṃ śaraṇāgatāḥ | kva yāmo'nyatra cā'smākaṃ tvāṃ vinā nāsti saṃśrayaḥ
قال الدانافا: «لقد هُزمنا على يد الديفات، فجئنا إليك ملتجئين. فأين نذهب غير ذلك؟ فليس لنا، من دونك، ملجأ ولا معتصم.»
