haratīrthamiti khyātaṃ puṇyaṃ loke bhaviṣyati | ityuktvā tāṃ praṇamyātha tatraivāṃtaradhīyata
Gālava (narration of Śiva’s act)
Tirtha: Haratīrtha
Type: tirtha
Listener: the unnamed female figure
Scene: Śiva proclaims: ‘It will be famed as Haratīrtha’; he bows to her and vanishes at that very spot, leaving a charged emptiness over the waterbank.
A tīrtha becomes authoritative through divine proclamation; sacred geography is validated by Īśvara’s word and presence.
Hara-tīrtha (Haratīrtha) is explicitly named as the renowned, merit-giving sacred ford.
No new prescription is added here beyond the prior snāna teaching; this verse establishes the tīrtha’s name and fame.
