तथा यज्ञाश्च ये सर्वे क्त्वयादानादि काः शुभाः । ते सर्वे न क्रियंते च चूडाकरणपूर्वकाः
tathā yajñāśca ye sarve ktvayādānādi kāḥ śubhāḥ | te sarve na kriyaṃte ca cūḍākaraṇapūrvakāḥ
وكذلك فإن جميع القرابين والطقوس اليَجْنِيّة المباركة—مع العطاء المقدّس (dāna) وما يتصل به من شعائر—لا تُقام، ولا تُؤدَّى أيضًا السَّمْسْكارا التي تبدأ بمراسم حلق الشعر (cūḍākaraṇa).
Sūta (narrative voice)
Scene: A family prepares for a child’s cūḍākaraṇa but respectfully postpones; priests advise waiting until Utthāna. Instead, they light lamps and offer simple worship, symbolizing substitution of restraint for celebration.
Dharma includes proper timing: certain auspicious rites are deferred to preserve ritual fitness aligned with sacred seasons.
The teaching occurs within the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra māhātmya that frames seasonal observances.
Avoid major yajñas and postpone saṃskāras such as cūḍākaraṇa during the Lord’s śayana period.
