तस्मिन्पंगुत्वमापन्ने दैत्ये परमदारुणे । कस्यचित्त्वथ कालस्य देवराजो बृहस्पतिम् । प्रोवाच दुःखसंतप्त आषाढांते सुरो त्तमः
tasminpaṃgutvamāpanne daitye paramadāruṇe | kasyacittvatha kālasya devarājo bṛhaspatim | provāca duḥkhasaṃtapta āṣāḍhāṃte suro ttamaḥ
«لما وقع ذلك الدَّيْتْيَا شديدُ الهول في العَرَج، وبعد حينٍ، تكلّم ملكُ الآلهة إندرا—وقد أضناه الحزن—إلى بْرِهَسْبَتِي في أواخر شهر آṣāḍha.»
