मार्कण्डेय उवाच । क्षत्रियश्च स्थितः पूर्वं विश्वामित्रो महीपतिः । मृगयासु परिभ्रांतो वसिष्ठस्य तदाऽश्रमम् । प्रविष्टः क्षुत्पिपासार्त्तः स तेनाथ प्रपूजितः

قال ماركاندييا: في الزمن السالف كان فيشفاميترا ملكًا قائمًا في مرتبة الكشترية. وبينما كان يجوب في الصيد دخل أشرم فَسِشْتَه، وقد أنهكته المجاعة والعطش؛ فقام فَسِشْتَه بإكرامه إكرام الضيف على الوجه اللائق.
