sūta uvāca | etacchrutvā vacastasya devadevasya cakriṇaḥ | cakāra gamane buddhiyogaṃ sāṃbo'rbudaṃ prati
Sūta
Tirtha: Arbuda
Type: peak
Listener: Śaunaka and the Naimiṣāraṇya sages (contextual frame)
Scene: Sūta narrates to seated sages; in a secondary vignette, Viṣṇu (Cakrī) gives instruction, and Sāmba forms the resolve to travel toward the Arbuda mountain shown in the distance.
When divine instruction is received, one should form firm resolve and undertake the journey toward a sanctified place.
Arbuda, the sacred region toward which Sāmba begins his pilgrimage (within the adhyāya’s tīrtha framework).
The act prescribed is tīrtha-gamana—setting out for the holy place as a dharmic remedy.
