Transliteration

etasmātkāraṇāddharmyaṃ mayā tyaktaṃ dvijottamāḥ | mokṣamārgārgalā bhūtaṃ dṛṣṭvā sarpaviceṣṭitam

Translation

لهذا السبب بعينه، يا خِيارَ ذوي الميلادين، هجرتُ تلك الحياةَ الأُسَريةَ التي تُعَدّ «مُحترمة»، إذ رأيتُ فعلَ الحيّة وقد صار كالقِفلِ يسدُّ طريقَ الخلاص (موكشا).
