strīṇāṃ brāhmaṇaśārdūlā jaleyantre dhṛte sati | gauryā upari sadbhaktyā vṛṣasthe tīkṣṇadīdhitau
Sūta (contextual continuation)
Type: kshetra
Listener: brāhmaṇa-śārdūla (addressed eminent brāhmaṇa)
Scene: A bright summer sun over a temple courtyard; a jalayantra drips continuously onto/near a Gaurī image while women offer flowers; the zodiacal motif of Vṛṣabha is subtly indicated in decorative friezes.
Right timing plus sincere bhakti makes a simple offering exceptionally fruitful.
The Gaurī Pañcapiṇḍikā sacred location where the jalayantra is installed over the deity.
Install/hold the jalayantra over Gaurī with devotion when the Sun is in Taurus.
