खाद्यैः सर्वैस्तथा लेह्यैश्चोष्यैः पेयैः पृथविधैः । कुरुष्व तृप्तिपर्यन्तं ससैन्यस्य महीपतेः । अश्वानां च गजानां च घासादिभिर्यथाक्रमम्

khādyaiḥ sarvaistathā lehyaiścoṣyaiḥ peyaiḥ pṛthavidhaiḥ | kuruṣva tṛptiparyantaṃ sasainyasya mahīpateḥ | aśvānāṃ ca gajānāṃ ca ghāsādibhiryathākramam

وبشتى الأطعمة الصلبة، والحلويات التي تُلعَق، وما يُمصّ، وبأنواع الأشربة المتعددة—أشبع الملكَ مع جيشه حتى تمام الرضا؛ وللخيول والفيلة أيضًا قدّم العلفَ والحشيشَ وما شابهه على الترتيب اللائق.
