yadyayaṃ putri te bhartā varaṃ yacchati vāṃchitam | tatprārthaya sutaṃ tasmādbrāhmaṇyena samanvitam
Mother (of the maiden; speaking to her daughter)
Scene: The mother advises her daughter: ‘Ask your husband for a son endowed with true Brahminical virtue’; mother’s hand raised in instruction, daughter listening with renewed hope.
It values inner dharma over mere lineage—offspring are prayed for with virtues (brāhmaṇya), not only worldly success.
No tīrtha is specified in this verse.
A boon-request (vara-prārthanā) is advised: asking the sage for a son endowed with brāhmaṇya.
