ومنذ ذلك الحين اشتهر «أشفَتيرثا» (Aśvatīrtha) على وجه الأرض—على الضفة المباركة الطاهرة لنهر الغانغا قرب كانياكوبجا. ومن اغتسل هناك نال ثواب قربان الأشفاميدها (Aśvamedha).
