tvadīyaṃ pātakaṃ cāsya śarīre'dya vyavasthitam | ekākinā yato dattaṃ tenāyaṃ patitaḥ sthitaḥ
Brāhmaṇas (dvijottamāḥ)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A reproving elder points to a distressed man; a second figure appears burdened, symbolizing sin ‘fixed upon the body’; the atmosphere is heavy with moral gravity.
Improper religious acts can harm both the doer and others; dharma emphasizes responsibility and correct method.
No tīrtha is specified in this verse.
It reiterates that prāyaścitta should not be undertaken alone in this context; solitary performance is treated as invalid/harmful.
