bhagavānuvāca | acalo'haṃ bhaviṣyāmi sthāne'tra tava bhūmipa | acaleśvara ityeva nāmnā khyāto jagattraye
Bhagavān (Śiva/Maheśvara)
Tirtha: Acaleśvara
Type: kshetra
Scene: Śiva speaks directly to the king, promising to remain in that place as ‘Acaleśvara’; the moment is a formal divine proclamation, with the king listening in awe.
Śiva’s grace becomes ‘fixed’ at a sacred place through divine resolve, making the site a stable refuge for devotees.
The verse glorifies the locale where Śiva is established and becomes famed as “Acaleśvara” within the Nāgarakhaṇḍa Tīrthamāhātmya.
An implicit foundation is given for liṅga-sthāpanā (establishment) and darśana of Acaleśvara at this place.
