Śākalya (addressing Yājñavalkya)
Scene: A venerable elder instructs a younger sage to go to the king’s palace for the sake of śānti; the palace threshold and the messenger-like urgency are emphasized.
Peace is restored through timely dharmic action guided by elders; disciples serve society by carrying out righteous rites when properly instructed.
No explicit tīrtha is named in this verse; the emphasis is on śānti-purpose service within the chapter’s sacred narrative.
A śānti-purpose visit/rite at the king’s residence is prescribed by the teacher to the disciple.
