Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 24
श्रीभगवानुवाच । एतद्रूपं मया शक्र कृतं तस्य वधाय वै । अवध्यः सर्वभूतानां यतोन्येषां मया हतः
śrībhagavānuvāca | etadrūpaṃ mayā śakra kṛtaṃ tasya vadhāya vai | avadhyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ yatonyeṣāṃ mayā hataḥ
قال الربّ المبارك: «يا شَكْرا، إنّي اتّخذتُ هذا الشكل حقًّا لقتله؛ إذ كان منيعًا على جميع الكائنات—فلذلك قُتِلَ بيدي أنا لا بيد غيري».
