मासं मासं प्रति सदा शांता दांता जितेंद्रियाः । ततो मासा वसानेऽन्ये चक्रुस्तच्छांतिकं द्विजाः
māsaṃ māsaṃ prati sadā śāṃtā dāṃtā jiteṃdriyāḥ | tato māsā vasāne'nye cakrustacchāṃtikaṃ dvijāḥ
شهرًا بعد شهر، ظلّ البراهمة دائمًا هادئين، متقشفين، قاهرين للحواس، يؤدّون طقس الشانتي نفسه؛ ثم عند تمام الشهر قام براهمة آخرون كذلك بإجراء الشانتي عينها.
