śaṃbhuṃ samāgataṃ dṛṣṭvā vīrabhadro gaṇaiḥ saha | daṃḍapraṇāmasaṃyuktastasthāvagre sadāśivam
Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) narrating
Listener: Ṛṣis
Scene: Śambhu arrives radiant and composed; Vīrabhadra, still formidable, stands with gaṇas and performs full daṇḍavat prostration before Sadāśiva.
Even the fiercest divine force remains anchored in humility and devotion before Śiva.
The Kedārakhaṇḍa’s Śaiva sacred geography forms the backdrop, though the verse centers on Śiva-Vīrabhadra encounter.
Daṇḍavat-praṇāma (full prostration) is exemplified as an act of reverence.
