ābrahmastaṃbaparyaṃtaṃ sṛjatya vati haṃti ca | nibaddhamasti tenaiva kālenaikena bho dvijāḥ
Lomaśa
Tirtha: Kedāra (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Ṛṣayaḥ (sages)
Scene: A sweeping allegory: Time as an unseen force binding all—from Brahmā in the heavens to a single blade of grass—while cycles of birth, preservation, and dissolution unfold in the background.
Everything is governed by Time—recognizing this inspires detachment, discipline, and timely dharmic action.
The Kedāra-kṣetra context frames the teaching, even when the verse speaks universally.
No specific rite; it provides the metaphysical basis for observing vows and pilgrimages within proper time.
