lomaśa uvāca | yadā sṛṣṭaṃ jagatsarvaṃ brahmaṇā parameṣṭhinā | kālacakraṃ tadā jātaṃ purā rāśimanvitām
Lomaśa
Tirtha: Kedāra (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Ṛṣayaḥ (sages)
Scene: The sage Lomaśa begins a grand cosmological narration: Brahmā creates the universe, and the Wheel of Time arises with zodiacal divisions, suggesting a celestial diagram behind the storyteller.
Time is a cosmic principle established at creation, structuring the universe through ordered divisions.
While the immediate verse is cosmological, it occurs within Kedārakhaṇḍa’s Kedāra-kṣetra discourse.
No direct ritual; it introduces the cosmological basis of calendrical and astrological divisions used in dharma.
